From the pen of the world renowned designer/architect Gio Ponti the Dufono Intercom System was introduced around 1935 and stayed in production until the factory was bombed flat in 1944. This simple but elegant desk top unit functioned as both the microphone and speaker and was connected to a larger amplifier unit (model 10102). Larger “multi channel” units appeared around 1940, in black and ivory bakelite. Dufono. Measurements: H 13 x D 17 x W 9cm.
